Connect to College Orientation is a mandatory 3-hour new student orientation which serves to support the transition to college life for new and returning students. Orientation focuses on helping students make connections with other students, faculty, staff and key resources that impact student success.

During Connect to College, students will:

  • Meet Classmates
  • Learn About Campus Life
  • Understand College Expectations
  • Connect with Student Services and Resources
  • Get Answers to Questions
  • Register for Classes

Available Dates

Students will first meet with an advisor/coach in the Student Success Center to develop an academic plan. Following this meeting, students will select a date and time to attend the 3-hour orientation. Students must attend an orientation before the start of the term.

Financial Aid & Paying for College

Staff from the Financial Aid and Cashier’s Office will review required financial aid paperwork, discuss important deadlines, and explain payment options.

(Students receiving the Tuition Freedom Scholarship will go to Room 127 KH following the presentation.)

There's an App for That! Technology Tools & Registration for Classes

An overview of the technology tools used at NC State will be provided including a variety of apps available to download! Coaches/Advisors from the Student Success & Transition Services office will discuss the advising process, review academic plans, and assist you in scheduling classes.

(Those receiving the Tuition Freedom Scholarship will go to Kee Hall Room 127, all others will go to Kee Hall Room 138)
