Institutional Review Board

North Central State College’s IRB was created to monitor and guide research activity on campus. All guidelines used by the committee come from the Federal Department of Health and Human Services.  The IRB’s main objective is to ensure responsible research involving human subject research.​  The decision chart used for determination of approval for any research project involving human subjects can be found on the HHS website at this link. https://www.hhs.gov/ohrp/regulations-and-policy/decision-charts/index.html​
