Speaker Broadcast Series – “Don’t Sell Yourself Short, Avoid Shortcuts”
March 18, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
This presentation by Steve Madden will discuss loving what you do, learning from your mistakes, the importance of giving back, and growing and evolving as a person (your past doesn’t have to define your future). Steve Madden is a name most people recognize for building a multi-billion dollar company which he started in 1990 by selling shoes from the trunk of his car. Today, Steve dedicates his time by educating young people on avoiding the mistakes he made, the importance of never selling yourself short, avoiding shortcuts, and how your past doesn’t have to define your future. Steve is a frequent guest on CNBC and other media outlets sharing his insights on business and tariffs, as well as his story of success, failure and redemption. The event, part of The National Society of Leadership and Success’s Speaker Broadcast Series, is open to all students, members and non-members, as well as campus and community guests. No ticket is required to attend. If you would like to bring a group of 10 or more people, please RSVP to Pam Schopieray, co-advisor, at 419-755-4234 or email schopieray.4@osu.edu.
