Transfer Planning

Starting your bachelor’s degree at North Central State College is a smart, flexible choice. Complete your first two years while living at home, working part-time, and taking classes in person or online. Then transfer your credits to the bachelor’s program and university of your choice—we’ll support you every step of the way.

Simple transfer steps:

  • Share your career interests and transfer goals when you start at NC State.
  • Meet with your advisor each semester to plan a program that transfers smoothly.
  • Connect with university representatives through visits arranged by your advisor.
  • Begin your third year with a clear plan and strong university connections.

NC State Transfer Programs

All NC State degree credits will transfer in whole or in part to other colleges and universities. These Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degrees are specifically designed to transfer in entirety. AA/AS are ideal choices for students who are continuing right into their bachelor degree program. The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees at NC State prepare students to launch their career after graduation. AAS degrees offer opportunities to begin your work in the field, gaining experience while also retaining the option to transfer credits when ready.

Your program choice should align with your career goals. All students are encouraged to discuss such planning during their first semester at NC State.
