English Pathway

These represent sample pathways toward an Associate of Arts in English. The Associate of Arts degree in English helps students to develop writing, critical thinking, and problems solving skills. Students may study rhetoric, critical analysis, literature, creative writing, and technical writing. The associate degree is ideal for transfer to a four-year bachelor’s degree program to prepare for a career in teaching, editing, grant writing, and technical writing. Where noted, these courses are guaranteed to transfer to any public Ohio college under the Ohio Transfer 36 model (general education) and/or Transfer Assurance Guide. This is just a sample. There are numerous courses that could apply toward this pathway, and with noted prerequisite exceptions, they do not have to be taken in this order.
