2025 Summer Coding Camps

Code a Carnival is a two-day camp designed to introduce students to coding and development of computer applications using the Microsoft MakeCode hands-on educational software. Participants will design an arcade-style carnival game using the tutorials supplied.
- Explore computer science, coding, and making.
- Learn critical thinking, assessment, and hands-on development of software applications.
Code-A-Carnival Camp (Beginners):
- Camp Location – Kehoe Center, 175 Mansfield Ave., Shelby, Ohio
- The camp will meet for two days.
- Tuesday, June 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 18 from 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m.
- Lunch will be provided both days.
- Age – Students enrolled in 6th through 8th grade in the 2025-2026 school year
- A laptop is required.
- Participants – Limited to 30 participants.
Code-A-Carnival Camp (Advanced):
- Camp Location – Kehoe Center, 175 Mansfield Ave., Shelby, Ohio
- The camp will meet for two days.
- Wednesday, June 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Thursday, June 26 from 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m.
- Lunch will be provided both days.
- Age – Students enrolled in 6th through 8th grade in the 2025-2026 school year
- Participants – Limited to 30 participants.
- A laptop is required.
- Participants are required to complete the beginner camp or have previous experience with Python programming.
